
In the 'Raranga' education programme an expert weaver will guide students through the cultural and practical aspects of making a kete from harakeke.
The contents of each programme are constructed around the learning intentions of the teacher, however in the past Raranga education programmes have contained:
- The hands-on construction of each students' own kete
- Instruction regarding the harvesting and preparation of harakeke
- Traditional protocol when working with flax
Other important information
- Programmes last between two and a half and three hours
- Cost is $8 per student
- Minimum number of students 10, maxium 15.
