Discover your Museum

The 'Discover Your Museum' education programme familiarises students with either Te Awamutu or Cambridge Museum, the galleries and collection items on display. This programme divides student into teams, with each team searching the museum for objects relevant to their region's past, identifying them, and competing to win the ultimate prize. 

The contents of each programme are constructed around the learning intentions of the teacher, however in the past the 'Discover Your Museum' education programme has contained: 

• Interactive team activities
• Focus on particular items of significance
• Custom presentations
• Hands-on collection items

Programmes usually last 90 minutes but we are flexible to suit the needs of the teacher and student.
