
For almost forty years Tim and Neil Finn have been writing and performing music of the highest quality. The music produced by these two Te Awamutu born brothers has reached so many and proved so popular that fans travel from all over the world to visit Te Awamutu Museum's True Colours exhibition. The True Colours education programme helps students understand how these two musicians went from small town Te Awamutu to international superstars.
The contents of each programme are constructed around the learning intentions of the teacher, however in the past the True Colours education programmes has contained:
- Interactive group activities immersing students in the permanent True Colours exhibition
- Music and video
- Presentations showcasing the ups and downs of Neil and Tim's vibrant and successful careers
- Posters, memorabilia and other collection items
- Pre and post visit resources are available
Programmes usually last 90 minutes but we are flexible to suit the needs of the teacher and student.
