Te Awamutu Museum is smack in the middle of a plethora of battles, engagements and sieges that shaped the outcome of this campaign.

Rangiaowhia, Orakau, Kihikihi, Paterangi, Te Rore, Alexandra Redoubt are all within a 20 minute radius of the museum.
