Pioneering Post - building a postal network in the late 1800s

Even in the early days of Te Awamutu settlement, people wanted to "keep in touch". But back then, it wasn't as easy.

In this programme, philatelist Dr Ross Marshall will present historic letters, stamps, postmarks and covers from that time to show how communication was managed.

Te Maori 1984 - 2009

In 1984 the exhibition Te Maori left New Zealand on a tour of the USA.

To mark the 25th anniversary of the exhibition we are publishing contributions from people who were directly involved with the exhibition and tour.

We also would like to hear your thoughts about the changing perceptions of Maori culture in museums. We invite you to join us in this commemorative project.
