Our education services are based at Te Awamutu Museum, however customized programmes are available for any museum without dedicated education services in the Waikato.

Visit a Place of Significance

History has taken place, not in thin air, but all around us. That’s why at Te Awamutu Museum we immerse students in their past by delivering  programmes at historically significant sites. If you have a historic site in mind we can research the site, make appropriate resources based around your students' learning needs, and facilitate the running of your visit - all for free. 

Get an Expert

Raranga (weaving with flax) instructors, natural environment experts, specialist historians...or do you have someone in mind? We can liaise with them, and often the museum can help cover any associated costs.

Outreach

We also have an Outreach Programme where we can develop programmes for your class.  Conditions apply for Outreach Programmes.
